Cargill has a scope 3 target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions in its global supply chain by 30% per ton of product by 2030. To reduce its climate impact, Cargill is focused on targeted supply chain interventions, including in its shipping business. The shipping industry accounts for about 2-3% of global CO2 emissions. The challenge is huge - working in partnership with others, Cargill is working on various solutions and initiatives that aim to reduce its carbon footprint in current and future shipping operations.
